Not having time to bike there, they decided to take a train. The iron horse pulled into its destination many hours later, and they found themselves in a land of trolleys and billboards.
After a day or two in San Francisco they took a train to Mountain View, which is about thirty-five miles southeast of San Francisco, to pay a visit to Meebo. They arrived at the train station and confidently strolled down the street to their offices, pausing for a photo outside their front door.
Ed then went inside and introduced himself to a dedicated Meebo employee ("Mikey") and handed over the message. Their office was pleasant and Web 2.0-y. After several thousand miles of travel the not so instant message was delivered. We still haven't heard back from the meebo folks yet but I guess we didn't really set the pace for high speed communication. We are looking forward to their response someday...
Ed and Kira are now in New Zealand, exploring the landscape and working on farms. Our wandering employee got away this time, but one day perhaps he will return to us. I look forward to it!
