So I was thinking the other day as I was driving home from work how important my BlackBerry is to me. I am sure that if I feel this way, then many other BlackBerry users do as well. I use my BlackBerry all the time everyday and I am not quite sure how I used to get along without it. I was probably less distracted yet did considerably less work.
Anyways, I am really pleased that Dexrex has released an application that enables BlackBerry users to archive all their text messages instantly and easily. It seems to me that an application that stores all your texts should have been available from day one. It makes me really happy that we are helping to save text-based communications. I don't know about you but my SMS messages actually mean something (well at least most of the time).
I know people will enjoy the new features and I am excited that we are going to continue to develop more features for the BlackBerry.
Welcome!

My Blackberry curve downloads the extension but it gives me an 'error' under the fields and doesnt record.
The "RESUME RECORDING" button can not be pressed and the tab button just closes out the extension...
anyone?
@ ria's daddy: We're sorry you're having some trouble with our software, and would be happy to help fix it. Could you please tell us what version of BlackBerry OS your curve is running?
Blackberry Curve
OS 4.3.0.127
I re-downloaded the software and it now says "RECORDING" and it says it has recorded 20 messages but I cant find the messages anywhere when I log in to my dexrex account - it says "no conversations"
The most likely culprit is that your phone wasn't pre-programmed with the country code. Dexrex needs to know the country calling code of your phone in order to archive messages.
We're releasing an update later this week that should fix this problem automatically. In the meantime, you can update your phone's information yourself with these steps:
1. Go to Options > Advanced > SIM Card
2. Select "Phone Number"
3. Hit the BlackBerry key and select "Edit SIM Phone Number" (this is safe to alter as long as you add your actual country code).
4. Add the country code to the beginning of the phone number.
For US/Canada residents, the country code is "1". Other countries' codes are listed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_country_calling_codes.
Hope that helps! If not, please contact us at http://www.dexrex.com/Contact.php, and we'll work with you to get more detailed information on the problem.
I have a CDMA Blackberry Curve hence no SIM card and thus no country code option. I still cant get it to bring up any conversations when I log into dexrex on the web, despite the extension showing "recording" on the device
Without a SIM card, I'm afraid there's no short-term solution. However, the new version we're releasing on Wednesday includes a feature which will fix the issue permanently.
We'll post an announcement to the Dexrex blog when the new version is up.
Is the fix coming out today or what?
Unfortunately, due to an unforseen technical difficulty, the release will be early on Thursday. (Tommorrow). Sorry for the delay!
Did the release ever come out? still says temporarily unavailable
