I Am The Other Guy.

So things have been busy. There's been a lot of business stuff to do which warrants a suit and tie  (stuff I have to do). And, there's been a lot of programmer stuff to do which warrants a respectable amount of caffeine and a vacation (stuff I don't have to do :).

I am working on marketing, something I find kind of scary. I don't like the idea of convincing people they should want something which they really don't need. That is the evil side of commercialism.  Hopefully I'll never have to do that.  I like the idea of helping people find a better way; after they understand their options they can take it or leave it. But, for ethical reasons, I am all about openness and transparency in marketing. So, all you internet people are welcome to ask me about our plans, strategies, et cetera.

For now I am working on coming up with and picking some marketing mottos. We're still just beginning to market our service, so if we need to change direction don't hold it against me.

Here are a few ideas I am thinking about. I know most of them seem a little trite or cliche, but maybe one will turn into something.  Mostly, I just want to convey the character of our fresh little company, not some feature of the service.
(If one works, I planned it all along!)

These are trying to convey the value of simplicity and truth - a safety-net mentality. After all, that is what we do. We keep who said what straight. No more of that, "I never said that" stuff. This is focusing on the social accountability and responsibility. I will probably need another series for focusing on the informative- utilitarian perspectives. Ultimately a survey will help us choose and determine how people would actually use Dexrex and then we will emphasize that.

I hope that was a little fun and insightful.
